Guelph Hyundai JR Gryphons Midget A Team take the Cup
The Guelph Hyundai JR Gryphons Midget A Team went down to snow covered Buffalo to participate in the Harbor Centre Cup Tournament. Due to the amount of snow the surrounding Buffalo area received, their schedule was altered and they only played one game on Friday, a 2-1 loss to Thunder Bay Queens. But the team rallied from there and went on to win 3-1 over Rochester Grizzlies, 5-1 over West Seneca Wings, and 6-1 over Ancaster Avalanche in semi final play. They went on to the finals to play Thunder Bay Queens again for the Cup. Answering goal for goal the Gryphons finally scored the big one in overtime, beating Thunder Bay Queens 3-2 for the Harbor Centre Cup. Go Gryphons Go!!!
