Guelph Pee Wee B - Bronze Medal Winners
The Pee Wee B girls played an incredible weekend of hockey
in Cambridge.
After losing their first game to Haldimand 2-3, they won their next two games against Brantford (3-1) and Sudbury (2-1). In the fourth game against Woolwich, with minutes to play and losing 1-0, they pulled their goalie for an extra player; unfortunately they ended up losing 2-0. Guelph ended up advancing to the bronze medal game, facing off against Haldimand. This was the girls 3rd game of the day, the Haldimand River cats were the first to score on a wicked shot from the point. The Guelph girls played hard and game back to tie, and later adding to make it 2-1. The River cats pulled their goalie with over 2 minutes to play for the extra player and had several opportunities to push the game to over team, however Guelph held on to win the Bronze medal in the Cambridge tournament. They outshot their opponents 83-53 and outscoring them 9-8. Way to go Guelph! .
