Gryphons Advance to LLFHL Championship Weekend!
The Midget A Guelph Jr. Gryphons took round 3 against the Clearview Icecats in a 2 game sweep this week.
Guelph opened game one on home ice with a 4-1 victory with goals coming from Kyle Bertrand (2), Lorraine Vandermyden and Taylor Collins. On Thursday night, Guelph travelled down an icy highway 400 to face-off against the Icecats for the final time. Taylor Collins opened the scoring with a breakaway goal and that would be one of many for the Gryphons. Adding to the score was Kyle Bertrand, Charlotte Crane (2) and Collins would put away one more break away goal to make the final score 5-0.
The Gryphons will head to the championship weekend on April 1-3 where they will compete against 4 of the best teams in the Lower Lakes. Best of luck girls and congratulations on a spectacular playoff run!
