Another Awesome Day of Girls Hockey!
Saturday was another great day of hockey, with scores posted for 78 games from Novice DS (perhaps playing in their first tournament!) to some very competitive Bantam and Midget games in the evening. Our first banner of the 14th Tournament was awarded to the Flamborough Falcons Atom DS team (yes, it was originally posted incorrectly - our apologies!), with Leaside Wildcats picking up the silver.
The finals are set for Atom A, Peewee A, Peewee DS, Bantam BB and Midget AA, with more exciting action Sunday morning to determine the finalists in the other divisions!
Other winners on Saturday included Kayla and Devon, who won the Atom skills competition in front of a packed and enthusiastic crowd at Victoria Road Arena. Paul H. won Saturday's 50/50 draw of $444.50. And the ten wonderful baskets generously donated by the Guelph rep teams were won by Jeff H., Melanie T., Susan M., Tracey R., Allison S., Cathy, Sherri's mom, Bruce B., Cheryle S. and Donna R. If you've won (or think you've won) then please stop by the Tournament headquarters in WERC before 4pm to pick up your basket.
