Notes
In this Semi-final match up, the Atom A girls played their best game of the tournament. Lucan was on the board first and lead 0-1 after the first. Lucan scored their second at 3:24 and the Atom A Gryphons responded right back at 3:20 with one from Lauren B (from Kendra H).
Trailing by 1 with about 2 minutes to go, Sam P skated to the bench, and the Gryphons went out 6-4 with seconds left in a Lucan penalty. Despite several chances, the Atom A girls were unable to score and Lucan placed one in the empty net with about 45 seconds to go. The game ended 1-3.
The girls finished the tournament with a great showing and were applauded off of the rink by their families and friends for a fantastic effort. They should all be very proud of themselves as they gave it all they had.
Our next game is Sun., Jan., 11 @ 3:15 pm vs Etobicoke Dolphins at the WERC (2).
GO GRYPHONS GO!!
