2020-2021 Midget AA and Bantam AA
Guelph Girls Hockey are pleased to announce the return of Scott Walton - Midget AA (U18), and Randy Meredith - Bantam AA (U15) for the 2020-2021 season.
Scott Walton:
Scott is a retired Canadian Armed Forces officer with 28 years service. On retirement he returned home to Guelph and has remained active coaching in both the GMHA and GGHA associations. Previous to his retirement he was active in the Barrie Women’s Hockey Association for 7 years. As a head coach and an assistant coach for all levels of girls hockey including the PWHL Barrie Jr Sharks as an assistant (video/bench coach) for his last 3 years in the organization. Scott is a coach evaluator with the OWHA and Director of Hockey Operations for the GGHA. This will be Scott's 3rd year with the GGHA - In his first year, he was co-coach of the Bantam A and his 2nd year he was the head coach for the Midget AA (U18) team. As a non-parent coach Scott brings an unbiased and fair approach to team and individual player development. Players can expect to be challenged and rewarded for the efforts. The team will continue to promote local and import talent while travelling to showcase tournaments. The exposure of developing players to programs and opportunities beyond the U18 experience is a pillar of the U18 program.
Randy Meredith:
Randy is a father of 3 GGHA girls, playing Midget, Bantam and Peewee rep. He has been active on and off the ice with the Guelph Girls Rep program for the last seven seasons and this will be his third year as Head Coach of the Bantam AA team.
His coaching philosophy revolves around skill development, positive reinforcement and fostering a love for the game. He respects the uniqueness in all families and individuals, and works hard to maintain a positive and supportive environment in which the girls can thrive.
He looks forward to continuing his coaching journey, paying back to the game he loves.
