Rep Team Selection
Submitted By Donna Harrington on Tuesday, September 1, 2020
As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, Hockey Canada and the OWHA have instructed that there will be no tryouts for this season. Therefore, Teams are being selected by coaches based on their observations from the preceding season.

One of the reasons that coaches are selected well before the end of a season is to give them time to evaluate players prior to tryouts, and that information has to be used as the basis of team selection this year, along with speaking with other coaches.

Team selections are also reviewed by the GGHA board.  Rosters are being finalized and team information will be updated accordingly on each team’s Home Page.  Selected players will be contacted by the Head Coach.

Coaches’ decisions have been approved by the GGHA board and are final. We realize that this is not a desirable approach but it is the only approach we have available, and we appreciate everyone’s patience during this challenging time.
