2020-21 Season Overview
Submitted By Sandra Pitts on Thursday, September 10, 2020
What will hockey be like this season?
Based on protocols from Hockey Canada, the OWHA, provincial & municipal governments and our arena facilities, this season will be different.
For more information about OWHA Return to Hockey protocols, visit www.owha.on.ca

While we wait for OWHA approval to open registration and get back on the ice, here is an overview of the season.

* No traditional league play (rep or house).

* There will be no tryouts or evaluation skates.
* Teams will be created based on age, last year's team, number of players, input from current and past coaches, and with guidance from the Board.
* Teams will be tiered and placed within bubbles of up to 50 girls & coaches
* No cross play can happen between bubble groups.

* The first stage will be skills development at all levels.
* At present, games will be 3-on-3 or 4-on-4.
* At this time, there will be no tournaments.

* Players will need to come dressed to the arena, and there will be limited access to the dressing rooms.
* Facility protocols include number of players & spectators, how to enter/exit the arena.

* Masks are required at all times (except for helmeted players on the ice).

We hope that we'll be able to move to another stage later in the fall.
