First Shift - Important Info for 2020 First Shift Registrants
Submitted By Sandra Pitts on Thursday, September 9, 2021
We are looking forward to seeing you at this rink beginning this Friday, Sept. 10 at 6pm. The six 6 on-ice sessions are Fridays at 6pm and Saturdays at 4pm until Sept. 25. The sessions will be held at Exhibition Park Arena, 70 Division St., Guelph.
You must read the COVID Protocols and complete the on-line screening prior to coming to the rink.

Key points are:

As of Sept. 22, all those 12 and older must be fully vaccinated, per the Ontario Government announcement.

Only 1 parent/guardian per player; please keep siblings at-home. No food or drink are allowed in the arena.

Complete the City of Guelph on-line screener (https://go-evo.typeform.com/to/g8sidINH) during the morning of each session. Do not come to a session if you or your daughter or show signs of COVID or do not pass the screening. You will be screened again at the arena during check-in.

Do not arrive any earlier than 15 minutes before the session starts. Check-in will be done in the parking lot near the west door (closest to the baseball diamond). Late arrivals may not be accommodated.

All people entering the arena must wear a mask – participants will remove their masks just before going on the ice.

Dress your daughter at home, including skates with skate guards. She can put on her helmet and gloves in the parking lot. Access to change rooms will be very limited. Leave the equipment bag at home or in your vehicle.

Label your equipment – especially the helmet, stick and gloves. If possible, put your daughter’s first name on the front of her helmet (using a piece of masking tape & a sharpie, etc.) so that the instructors know her name!

Parents/ guardians must stand 2m apart out around the rink while the session is on, and when over, please leave immediately via the exit door (the east door, closest to Exhibition Road).

Read the complete protocols from the City, and follow the directions of the First Shift volunteers.

We are working hard to get your girls on the ice, and ask that you respect the directions from GGHA volunteers and arena staff, as we make this a safe and fun experience.
