Submitted By Donna Harrington on Monday, April 16, 2018
Congratulations to Emma Ducharme on receiving this years Karyn Spira award.

Karyn Spira died on January 27, 2004, at the age of 17, as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. As a person, a daughter, a student, a player and a teammate, Karyn was an inspiration to every life she touched.

Karyn loved the game of hockey and player in our Senior House League division. In her memory, the Spira Family established the Karyn Spira Memorial Trophy, awarded at the end of each season to the GGHA Senior House League player who best personifies the attributes that were important to Karyn – Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship and Fair play.
