The U11A Guelph Jr. Gryphons delivered an electrifying performance at the 45th annual Orangeville Sweetheart Tournament, clinching the Bronze medal in a nail-biting shootout that kept spectators on the edge of their seats and laptops from home!
Facing fierce competition throughout the weekend, the Jr. Gryphons showcased determination and teamwork, earning their spot in the Bronze medal game. The final match was a closely contested battle, with both teams locked in a 1-1 stalemate after regulation time and overtime, forcing the game into a dramatic shootout.
The shootout turned into a spectacle, with six shooters from each team stepping up to the challenge. The team showed incredible resilience and heart. Parents, fans, and teammates erupted in cheers as the Jr. Gryphons hoisted their Bronze medals, marking a memorable conclusion to a thrilling weekend of hockey.
