The GGHA Gryphon for Life Campaign was created to celebrate the values, culture, and community that make the Guelph Girls Hockey Association special. This initiative focuses on building lifelong connections through hockey, emphasizing player and coach development, organizational excellence, and shared values that extend beyond the rink.
The campaign recognizes individuals who embody what it means to be a Gryphon for Life, those who have grown within the GGHA, continue to give back, and inspire future generations of players.
2025 Recipient: Katie Mora
The first-ever Gryphon for Life Award is proudly presented to Katie Mora. A lifelong member of the GGHA, Katie began playing in the association at the age of five and has since come full circle as a player, coach, and now builder of the program.
As the Head Coach of the University of Guelph Women’s Varsity Hockey Team and one of the GGHA’s first-ever Technical Directors, Katie continues to invest in the growth and development of our players. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for advancing women and girls in sport truly embody what it means to be a Gryphon for Life.
