GGHA Team Staff Information – 2025–2026

The Guelph Girls Hockey Association (GGHA) relies on dedicated volunteers to provide a positive experience for our players. Whether you're interested in coaching, managing, or supporting a team in another capacity, we welcome your involvement.

Team Staff Application

All team staff, including Coaches, Assistant Coaches, On-Ice Volunteers, Trainers, Managers, and Den Moms, are required to complete the online Team Staff Application Form.

Respect in Sport / Speak Out Certification

All team staff must complete the Respect in Sport – Activity Leader program or the in-class Speak Out certification, as mandated by the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA).

Police Check / Declaration Waiver

Team staff must have a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Screening completed every 3 years, and a signed Declaration every year.

For the 2025–2026 season, all Vulnerable Sector Checks will be conducted by the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) to ensure consistent screening across associations.

Spordle – My Account

To upload your background check information and to take any clinics to complete your qualifications, you will need to create a Spordle My Account. This is a gateway into the Hockey Canada database.

U13 & DS Coach 2 – Trained Coach 2 – Trained
U15 & DS Coach 2 – Trained Coach 2 – Trained
U18 Coach 2 – Trained Coach 2 – Trained
U22 Coach 2 – Trained Coach 2 – Trained

For Rep teams, the Head Coach is required to have the appropriate certification. Assistant Coaches are recommended to have the same certification.
