The Atom A girls had three ladies who took part in the 16 Annual Tournament Skills competition; Lauren B., Hanna L., and goalie Sam P.  The ladies completed an obstacle course, a shoot-out and competed for the fastest skater.  All ladies had a good time in this competition.  Hanna finished top three for the obstacle course and the shoot-out with Lauren also finishing in the top three for the shoot out.

Thanks to Scott Weese and all of the volunteers who helped to run this event for the Novice and Atom divisions. A fun time was had for competitors and spectators alike.

The Guelph Jr. Gryphons enjoyed a fun filled weekend in Windsor at the 7th Annual Hocktoberfest tournament.  The girls and their parents attended the Windsor Spitfires game where the girls had a pre-game tour of the Media booth and learned how the score board, jumbo tron, announcing and video goal judging was done.  The girls also did the flag presentation on the ice during the National Anthem.  Big thanks goes out to all the girls and their families who took part in this event and helped to create some memories for the team and the girls.

The Atom A Jr. Gryphon girls enjoyed a beautiful day for their Bike Ride Fundraiser.  The team raised and donated $1200 to the Nicholas Lambden Children's foundation.  The girls biked 10.7 km for their donations, leaving Riverside Park and turning around at Guelph Lake.  Coach Dave Lylyk presented Sue Lambden a cheque on behalf of the team at the after bike-ride celebration.  We know the girls will remember this great event and the memory of Nicholas will live on through their donation.  Way to go girls!
