Midget AA, 2014-2015 (Guelph Girls Hockey Association)

Oct. 19, 2014 After hard fought games and heart stopping action, the The Guelph Gryphons Midget AA won silver at the Etobicoke "Pink the Rink" tournament!   The girls remained undefeated through round robin play beating Vaughan 4-1, Whitby 2-0, and Leaside 2-1.  Moving into the quarter finals they downed Brantford 2-1, and in the semis ousted Leaside 2-1.  In the finals, after two overtime periods and a shootout, they fell to Aurora 1-0.  A great weekend for the Midget AA's!      

On October 5 the Midget AA's participated in the CIBC Run For The Cure in support of Breast Cancer Research! 

On Sunday Sept 14 the Guelph Jr. Gryphons Midget AA team participated in the Terry Fox Run.  Close to $1000.00 was raised for a great cause!   

Some of you had perhaps heard that our dear friend Jennifer Richardson was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Jennifer is currently undergoing treatment and, while difficult, is maintaining a very positive perspective and is battling hard. Our 2014-2015 GGHA Midget AA Team will be participating in the CIBC Run For The Cure and will be running for Jennifer as well as Jane DeCorso as part of "Jane & Jen's Gems".
