PeeWee B, 2016-2017 (Guelph Girls Hockey Association)

The PeeWee B team came out in dominant form this past weekend at the Hamilton Hawkey tournament, going 4-0-1 over five games and taking on all comers.  Despite having a tough draw and facing down their nemesis Ancaster twice, the girls were aggressive and took control in every game they played.  They outshot their opponents 110-58 and outscored them 11-2.  Our goalies were fantastic, recording 3 shutouts, and the girls were absolutely overpowering in the final game versus Ancaster, blanking them 2-0. Great job girls on a second gold for the season!

The PeeWee B team started their season in solid fashion, earning gold in the 6th Annual Markham-Stouffville Starsfest Tournament this past weekend. The girls showed class and grit, battling hard to squeak by 3-2 in the quarter final game. The Gryphons came out strong in the semi-final with a 4-0 shutout win, and dug deep, showing good intensity to win the gold medal 3-1 against a very determined and tenacious Bluewater squad. Well done, team!
