Welcome to the Guelph Winter Classic tournament — here’s all the important parking and arena info to help teams, families, and spectators navigate easily.

Rinks & Arena Locations
We will be using six rinks across Guelph:
- West End Community Centre - 21 Imperial Rd S
- Tournament Head Office
- Parking available on the west side of the building (past the arena)
- Please keep the front lot free for pool/library patrons
- University of Guelph Arena - East Ring Road
- December 5th parking is in lot P13 - click here for parking map
- Note P13 is the only FREE parking on Friday the 5th all other lots you will need to pay to park.
- Parking on December 6th and 7th is FREE throughout campus
- Sleeman Centre - 50 Woolwich St

Downtown Guelph Parking
For spectators or visitors coming to downtown Guelph (for arena access, or other activities), here are key parking details: click here
- The City of Guelph provides several downtown parking lots and parkades.
- Rates:
- On-street: 2-hour free parking (once per day) on downtown streets.
- Parkades / lots: Special event rate is $5.50.
- Payment: Use the HONK app (or scan QR codes), or pay at stations (credit, debit, coins)

New system update (2025): The city removed gated access from lots, and now uses pay-by-plate.
Guelph Santa Parade Info (Tournament Weekend)
Because the tournament overlaps with the Guelph Santa Claus Parade, here are some key notes for visitors who may want to catch the parade:
- The Guelph Community Santa Parade kicks off at 5:30 PM on parade day.
- Staging area for parade floats / vehicles: Woolwich Street (via Woodlawn Road).
- Parking for parade participants and spectators:
- After Parade / Dispersal: Parade ends at the railway bridge on Wyndham St N.
- Important Note for Parade Participants: Candy canes must be handed out (not thrown), and handing out promotional / advertising material is not allowed.
Tips & Recommendations
- Arrive early: Downtown spots and parkades may fill up, especially given parade traffic.
- Use HONK app: It’s the easiest way to pay for hour-based parking.

Plan for walking: If you park downtown for arenas, be prepared to walk — some lots are a short walk away.
- Watch for road closures: Parade traffic may restrict some access routes.
- Communications to Teams: Because arena-specific parking differs, we will email each team their exact parking instructions for the University of Guelph Arena and the Sleeman Centre.
