The Guelph Girls Hockey Association (GGHA) is committed to transparency, integrity, and accountability in everything we do. Our governance practices help ensure that we deliver on our mission to empower female athletes through hockey in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Our Mission
To provide a fun environment for girls and women to build self-esteem and confidence through hockey by promoting teamwork, strong work ethic, and leadership development.
Board of Directors
Board terms are typically 2 years and elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Organizational Structure
The GGHA is a volunteer-driven organization supported by the following structure:
- Board of Directors
- Standing Committees (Finance, Coaching, Risk Management, etc.)
- Team Volunteers (Coaches, Managers, Trainers)
- Members & Parents
Bylaws & Policies
All policies are reviewed annually and approved by the Board.
Meetings & Minutes
Board Meetings: Held monthly (dates posted on our calendar). Members may request to attend or observe.
Annual General Meeting (AGM): Held each spring and includes board elections, updates, and community input.

Elections & Membership
All registered members (players over 18 or parents/guardians of players under 18) are eligible to vote at the AGM and to run for board positions.
