Fall Tryouts for 2024-25 Season

Fall Tryouts for U22A, and Senior A (O22A), and Senior B (O22B) will begin in September -

The U22A team plays in the Southern OWHA League, and participates in playoffs and Provincial playdowns. The regular season is 22 games beginning in early October. Games are usually not played in December nor Reading week.
 
The Senior A team plays in the 10-team GHWHL (Golden Horseshoe Women's Hockey League), with 18 regular season games. The team participates in Provincial Playdowns, plus a year-end league tournament usually the 3rd weekend of March.

The Senior B team will play exhibition games and in tournaments, including the Guelph Winter Classic (Dec. 6-8, 2024), and we are planning to participate in Provincial Playdowns.

Register for Tryouts Now!

Fees for U22A, Senior A and Senior B are $10 per session. Please register at least 24 hours in advance of the session. Payment can be made by e-transfer to [email protected].

Things to note:

  • No player is allowed to tryout with another OWHA association without permission of their home association.  
  • Players currently registered with another OWHA association (other than the GGHA) must get a PTS from their current association prior to the first tryout session, and must register for tryouts online at least 24 hours prior to the first tryout session
  • Non-resident players are welcome to attend our tryouts. Students temporarily living in Guelph are considered residents. The number of final roster spots available to non-resident players may be limited per our Import Policy.
  • Anyone requiring a permission to skate form to tryout at another association must contact the Registrar (note: jerseys must be returned and outstanding team fees paid, before the permission to skate will be emailed out) 
  • NO PTS or releases from GGHA will be processed until the previous Team Manager confirms that the player does not have any outstanding financial obligation to the team.
  • Anyone requesting a release from the GGHA (this is different from a PTS - only request this once you know that your are leaving the GGHA, as you can only have one release per season), please click here.

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.
