NotesAll good things must come to an end, especially when both teams are looking for a win. That's exactly what happened tonight when the Atom A girls travelled down the road to take on the NHTwisters for the last time in the regular season.
Despite being on the board first, the Atom A girls could not overcome the score differential, and questionable officiating. Vanessa W. put one in early in the first (from Jasmine M) and the Twisters managed to put away 2, ending the period with a score of 1-2.
While the Atom A girls were scoreless in the second, the Twisters put away two more and we were down 4-2 at the end of the second. The girls came out strong at the beginning of the third and Dylan M put another goal on the board (from Myriam P and Kiara L), but that would be all for the Jr. Gryphons.
Positives for the night were our passing game, penalty killing, and a team that worked together and felt disappointment together. Despite the loss, it was a good game to watch. All the girls should be proud of themselves.
The Atom A girls finish their regular LLFHL season on Saturday when they travel back to the Mastercard Centre to take on the Etobicoke Dolphins. Puck drops at 11:15 am.
GO GRYPHONS GO!!
