Atom B, 2014-2015 (Guelph Girls Hockey Association)

The New Year started off well for the Atom B’s, with a 3-2 record and silver medal at the GGHA tournament.

It was a mixed bag on the scoreboard but a great weekend overall in St. Catharines. It started off with a 5-4 win over Flamborough, followed by 'the-game-that-shall-not-be-named'*. It finished with a close 3-2 loss to Whitby in an entertaining and competitive game. Overall, there were some excellent stretches of team hockey, some notable performances by various team members, some areas to work on, and, most importantly, a lot of fun both on and off the ice. *8-1 loss to Lakeshore, the team ultimately won 7-0 in the final Scott

The team had a great start to the season, going 2-2 at the Oakville Harvest Classic Tournament. Players of the game were Ariss, Amy W, Erika and Sarah. The 'player of the tournament that wasn't player of the game award' (otherwise known as the Pumpkin Award) went to Sophie. After a successful 4-4-1 pre-season, the girls are looking forward to a busy start to the regular season this weekend.
