Congratulations to the 2014/15 Guelph Hyundai Midget A Gryphons for taking the bronze medal at this past weekends Provincial Championships at Vaughan Sports Village.

LLFHL BRONZE MEDAL WINNERS

Congratulations to the Guelph Jr Gryphon MA team for winning the LLFHL Western Division. The girls had to beat Kitchener, Bluewater and Walkerton, each series going the full 3 games on their way to the title. In the final series against rival Walkerton (first place finishers in regular season) the Gryphs only gave up 1 goal and won 2 games on the road. Battling through the playoffs was even more impressive by this group, considering the heavy 8 game Provincial Play-down schedule they had to complete in just over 3 weeks. The Guelph Hyundai JR Gryphons Midget A Team went down to snow covered Buffalo to participate in the Harbor Centre Cup Tournament. Due to the amount of snow the surrounding Buffalo area received, their schedule was altered and they only played one game on Friday, a 2-1 loss to Thunder Bay Queens. But the team rallied from there and went on to win 3-1 over Rochester Grizzlies, 5-1 over West Seneca Wings, and 6-1 over Ancaster Avalanche in semi final play.  They went on to the finals to play Thunder Bay Queens again for the Cup. Congratulations to the Guelph Hyundai Jr Gryphons Midget A Team for winning the "Pink the Rink" tournament in Etobicoke this past weekend. The girls won 5 games and only lost 1, scoring 17 goals and only giving up 4 against on their way to winning the championship.
