U13 BB/B 2024-2025 Tryout Information
My name is Caroline Ross. This will be my third year coaching girls hockey. I started with the GGHA coaching the U9 B team for the 2022-2023 season and this past season I coached the U11 BB team. I am passionate about hockey and working with young girls to grow their skills and love of the game. I look forward to coaching a dedicated group of girls, who want to grow their hockey skills and play a competitive, aggressive game of hockey.
Notes about the team: This upcoming season we will strive to be a competitive team with the goal of playing in Provincials. We expect our players to attend each practice, game and off ice training session with focus, the desire to learn, improve and to give good hard effort. The time commitment for the team is approximately 5 times per week during the season, that includes practices, games, strength and conditioning, off ice skills, team bonding experiences, sports nutrition seminars. There will be 6:30am practices. We expect to be participating in 4 tournaments throughout the season, one each month with one of those being a tournament in the US.
Team fees: The approximate expected team fees are $600. Team fees are separate from the rep fees paid to the GGHA. This fee covers team costs such as tournaments, extra development, team bonding, first aid care, practice jerseys, water bottles, helmet decals and so much more.
Notes about the tryout process: Non-parent and non-team affiliated evaluators will be in attendance at each tryout to assist the coaching staff in making decisions on the players with an outside perspective.

Sunday, April 28th @3:00 PM - Home Game vs Cambridge - Exhibition Arena
There will be releases after each tryout, please check the website following each tryout you attend, if your code is listed you are invited to the following tryout. If you are invited to the final tryout on Sunday, April 28th the final releases and team spot offers will be done in person. Please ensure you remain at the arena after the game to speak with the coaches.
