Gryphons are LLFHL Champions!
The Guelph Jr. Gryphons won the LLFHL Midget A championships today after an action packed weekend of hockey.
Guelph posted a 4-1-0 record outscoring their opponents 13-3. In round robin play the Gryphons came out victorious against Burlington (6-0), #2 ranked Windsor (2-1) and #1 ranked Markham (4-0), dropping a single game to Toronto Leaside (1-2) in game 4.
Guelph met Markham once more in the finals and scored the lone goal on a break away by captain Brianna Martini assisted by Brooke Davidson and Lorraine Vandermyden. Congratulations to the girls for a tremendous weekend of hockey.
The Gryphons will have the week to rest up before they start provincials on Friday against the Cambridge Roadrunners. Good luck Gryphons!
